Charitable Foundation

Mission & Background

At Westbury Bank, we take the term “community bank” seriously. We’re not just a member of the communities we serve, we’re an active contributor. We established the Westbury Bank Charitable Foundation in 2013 with a $1 million contribution. Each year, the Foundation contributes 5% of its assets to worthy causes throughout the communities in which our employees and customers live and work. We don’t just ask “what if we did these things?”, we also ask “what if we didn’t?”

Bottom line, giving back to the community is simply the right thing to do.

Five Pillars, One Purpose

While we get involved in many aspects of our communities, from little leagues to festival sponsorships, our foundation concentrates on five meaningful pillars:

  • Community Development
Economic development in our communities boosts quality of life and invigorates the business community.
  • Affordable Housing
Programs that help provide safe, attainable housing are essential.
  • Health and Human Services
A community is only as healthy as its people. Which is why we place special emphasis on health and wellness programs.
  • Education
While teaching methods are often debated, there’s no question about the importance of a solid education for students at every level.
  • Youth Programs
The key to securing a better future is to nurture those who will shape it. We’re strong supporters of programs that foster childhood education, physical activity and leadership.
